When Peace Isn't Possible

When Peace Isn't Possible

Romans 12:18 says,

If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

By implication, this verse is telling us that it is not possible to live peaceably with some people because they refuse to make peace. They take the posture of being an enemy, being an antagonist, and they refuse to shift from that position no matter what you do.

But as much as it depends on you, you must pursue the things… Continue

Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass." Psalm 37:3-5 AMP

Never Stop Praying

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
—Ephesians 6:18

Pursue Peace

In 1 Peter 3:10-11, Peter provides an important command in our relationships with other people,

For “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.”

I want to focus your attention on the last part of verse 11, “Seek peace and pursue it.” This means we are to pursue peace with people.

This command is reinforced by the writer… Continue

New Year, New Life!

Let this be a year of new beginnings in Jesus Christ! One of the wonderful things about being a Christian is that it gives us the ability to ask God's forgiveness and receive in Jesus Christ a clean slate. Do you have sins of the past? Do you have worries? Do you have doubts and fears?

You can ask God's forgiveness and know that Jesus Christ has paid the penalty for your sins. God says in the Bible "Behold, I make everything new." This applies to the future, but starting right now God can renew… Continue

Solid construction

" And it went down the rain, they ran the torrents, blew them
winds, and they slammed with impulse against that house; nevertheless not
it fell, because it was established on the rock " (Mateus 7:25).

The durability of any building depends on three things:
the used materials, knowledge exercised in his
construction and his foundation. inferior materials, even
used with skill, they cannot support them for much time
elements of the nature. Not even the superior materials, if
used with negligence, they will be able to hold. A combination of
perfect materials and wisdom in the construction is necessary
why does the building remain for long time. It is necessary
also what is built on a solid foundation.

We need to apply the same truths in the construction of
our lives. The materials to be employed must be
chosen with care and the work of the structure must be
carried out with projection and wisdom. His base must be
substantiated on solid land.

Jesus challenges it to each one of us, in the Sermon of the Hill,
to build for the eternity. He persuades us rejecting
inferior materials as the selfishness, the lust, the hypocrisy
and the hatred. Such materials only lead to failures and
destruction.

The materials what He recommends for what the construction of
our lives remain for long time, up to the eternity,
they are: humility, gentleness, rectitude, compassion and purity. To
quality of these materials was tested and proved through
centuries.

We should have been attentive to the educations of a Main Architect.
Following His recommendations, we will not take the risk of seeing
our spiritual house to collapse.

Build with Christ - Build for the eternity!
