On occasion I search the Internet for Christian prophetic artists and when I discover someone, I like to share their work and testimony with you here on the Christian Artists’ Group. I found Nathan Brown today and I hope you’ll be equally as excited as I am over his wonderful works! Below are his testimony and some of his works of art:
Nathan Brown’s testimony:
I was born and raised in Missouri, but God has afforded me the opportunity to travel a lot....I have met a lot of very wonderful people along the way. On one occasion I met a missionary serving in South Africa....He told me that God had given him a vision of me, "Dancing for Jesus with paintbrushes in front of churches during worship". I thought how strange, what does painting have to do with worshipping God? He and his wife were waiting to return to SA. They were praying for moneys and visas. Cindy was pregnant with their second child.....The visas and funds were slow coming. Ron became disheartened. I really wanted to help but I am a poor farmer. God told me to give him a cubist painting of a guitar player, (Ron is a worship leader and pastor), that had been gathering dust in my closet. I did. Ron told me that many times he became discouraged but he looked at the painting and was reminded of Gods love for him. The church had a sending off party to celebrate their departure. Ron came up to me, and though money must have been very necessary for his journey, handed me a $100.00 and told me to buy canvas and paint and bless others as I had blessed him. That was 6 years and about a hundred paintings ago.....
5 years ago God told me that He wanted me to send a painting to South Africa. "Walk in the Light" He told me that if I placed it in Ron's hands it would be a tool that he could use to save many. I had no idea of how to get it there, so I prayed....I asked all of my friends to pray.... Kathy, my wife asked all of our friends to pray, including our Internet friends....We received an email from another Jesus painter from Ft. Worth, Gwen Meharg, "Hey can you get the painting to Ft. Worth? We have Missionaries that will hand carry it to Johannesburg." I thought "Wow this is a God thing, I'll pray about getting it to Ft. Worth." Again we asked all our friends to pray. Three days later Kathy our friend from Spirit FM Camdenton asked, "Hey can you take your painting to Sedalia? Byron and Scott are teaching the prophetic at Antioch Fellowship there." Lets see B and S are teaching prophetic at Antioch, if I give them my gift they will take it back to the elders for Gods use. Where have I heard this before?????? The painting went needless to say, hand carried to my missionary friend. God used it as a language breaker. Many saw themselves in the painting and were led to God.... How cool that God could use me to help save people half way around the world..
I began to realize that God had a place for me, and that "Dancing for Jesus with Paintbrushes", wasn't so crazy. It has been 5 years.... God has been good to me. We have paintings in 15 churches in central Missouri, 2 in South Africa, and 2 in Mexico....... God is Good!!!!!
In October, the 17 to be exact, out of all the spirit filled painters in the world, I was asked to be one of 7 Jesus painters, to stand in front of some of the best Christian musicians in the world, and paint for God in front of 250 nations of the world. Perhaps you caught it on God TV October 20, 2007. It was crazy, the paintings are listed as Shatter Paintings. God is Sooooooooooooooo Goooooooooooood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some of his works:
Walk in The Light
This piece was inspired by a song brought back from South Africa by my missionary friends. It currently lives in Jobay travelling with ywam. Used as a language breaker to assist missionaries to reach to local peoples. This painting was hand carried by missionaries that I have never met to South Africa.

The Lion and The Lamb
This week God gave me the opportunity to paint with 6 other worship painters at the Shatter Global Prophetic Worship Festival. God gave my hands 7 beautiful paintings. Lion and the Lamb really blesses me and I pray that it blesses you. At first I saw fire, then the cross began to appear. As the Musicians began to sing of God's great sacrifice, I saw Jesus on the cross. The song changed and I began to feel that we were entering warfare. The Lion of Judah appeared and the armies of light were at Jesus' feet.

Touch the face of our Savior
Painted at the Shatter Festival. I felt that Jesus was inviting us all to come closer. Close enough to touch His face. If you look close you can see the worshipper doing just that.

Anticipation
This painting also came from the Festival. I call it anticipation. Jesus so loves the bride and wants so much to bring her home, that He rides His heavenly steed in circles in Heaven. He is yelling and whooping as He rides. His ride is like a whirlwind bringing forth the winds of change on the earth.

Revelation 19
This was a fun painting, and it was easy to paint. God showed me that the Word is the sword, and this double edged sword is Revelation 21:6-8
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost from the spring of the water of life. He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars--their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.

Ephphatha
When I painted this piece I had been praying for an image for weeks but had not received one. We went to visit Chuck Lynch, a Biblical counselor, and had a wonderful time of fellowship with him, his wife, and some friends. I shared prints of the paintings I had recently painted. Mike, Chuck's friend, began to tell me that God had placed a vision on his heart, but that he didn't know why, as he wasn't a painter. I took this to be my next painting. "Ephphatha" is the Aramaic word that Jesus spoke to a deaf man that He healed. It means"be open". In this painting the heavens are opened. The book of the Lamb is opened, and souls are being drawn up in front of the throne. God sits between the seraphim, and Jesus is on his right with his arms around His father and His head in God's lap. He weeps for the souls that are lost

Joy
A missionary friend told me that because of current family situations in this country many children do not know their fathers. I decided to paint of the Heavenly Fathers love for them. This painting was hand carried by an elder to South Africa, just in time for Christmas.

Victory
I remember praying that God would show me what He wanted me to paint next. It came in my dreams. God began to show me the faces of hideous demons. Some might say that sounds more like a nightmare brought on by some bad food, but God also showed me His power. He moved like a whirlwind swinging a huge sword. There was vengeance in His eyes and rage on His lips. He showed me that in the eye of His wind, deep in His bosom, there in that secret place His bride finds refuge there.
He is the great warrior. The battle is His. We must enter that secret place and pray and worship Him. The battle is already won......

Follow Me Prophecy
God truly blessed me as I painted this one! There are several points He brought out to me. As the workers carry their crosses they plow the fields of His vineyard. You may be able to see that in many places plowed, no plants grow. Often we concentrate on carrying the cross and we forget to plant seeds. There is a big gap in the workers God told me that an entire generation has been lost to his service.
I prayed about how to show the Holy Spirit. God told me to paint what I knew. This image is what I saw in the back of an ambulance in 1977. My artery was severed and I bled out on the way to the hospital. Jesus appeared to me and told me not to fret for it wasn't my time. I was so filled with Joy that I laughed all the way painlessly to the hospital. I suffered broken bones and massive head trauma, yet He delivered me from it all.
I am very blind up close, I painted mountains in the spirit. When I stepped back I saw the bride rising up from the ground. She has no mouth, eyes and her feet are not truly developed. I believe He is moving to develop speakers, prophets and servants as we speak.
There is a new wave of servants coming that will have the mind of Christ and will be enabled by Him to speak the will of God. The lame will walk, the blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will arise......!
